Caladesi Island Kayak Adventure

This tour is one of the most beautiful and scenic guided kayaking experiences!!!

We paddle out to the mangroves on the inlet side of Caladesi to see various types of marine life. The guide will discuss the unique marine ecosystem that makes this sanctuary thrive: mangroves, seagrass beds, saltwater fish, turtles, and much more!

Then, we make our way around to the Gulf side of Caladesi. The Gulf side is where we get out of our kayaks and walk on a white sandy beach. You’ll look for shells and observe shorebirds, fiddler crabs or even watch a beautiful sunset if you choose the sunset tour!

There’s no saying what other surprises and wildlife we may encounter on this adventure! A lot of times, we see dolphins, manatees, fish, and migratory birds!

The Kayak and all equipment are included with the tour. In addition, we outfit our kayaks with lights for nighttime navigation and safety on the sunset paddles.

Where is Caladesi State Park?

Caladesi State Park is located on the north end of Caladesi Island in the Florida Gulf Coast. The island is only accessible by boat, and there is no bridge to connect it to the mainland. Visitors can take a ferry from Honeymoon Island State Park, or they can kayak or canoe to the island. Once on the island, there are plenty of activities to keep visitors busy, including swimming, sunbathing, fishing, and hiking.

It takes about 2.5 hours to kayak from Honeymoon Island to Caladesi State Park. The trip is about 11 miles long and includes a stop at Shell Key Preserve
